One of the main objectives of the GNSS.asia project is to facilitate industrial cooperation between European and Asian economies on GNSS downstream applications.
The project will utilise the networks of the local Asian partners, as well as European events such as the EU-Asia Satellite Navigation Industry Seminar, to offer a platform for industrial cooperation in GNSS downstream applications.
The worldwide GNSS market is growing fast and revenues are expected to increase significantly over the next decade. A detailed analysis of the market trends can be viewed in GSA's GNSS Market Report (see publications). At the same time and despite the significant growth there is still a lot of untapped potential in GNSS applications. The emergence of new GNSS and in particular of Galileo and the opportunity to combine it with GPS and GLONASS will further boost the GNSS applications sector.
The enhanced features of Galileo services will enable many new applications thus giving rise to several partnering opportunities.
GNSS.asia project is funded by the European Union within the Seventh Framework Programme under grant agreement no 287244.
