COMPUTEX is the largest ICT trade show in Asia and the second largest in the world, celebrating its 35th edition in 2015. Every year, top ICT elites, innovators and entrepreneurs from every corner of the world gather to showcase the most advanced and innovative ICT products, attracting more than 38,000 international visitors. The GNSS.asia Taiwan team was present at this unique conference through a dedicated promotion booth, which was sponsored and participated by CEC Huada Electronic Design Co., Ltd. (CN), Abunno Technology Co., Ltd. (TW), First International Computer (TW) and Locosys Technology Inc. (TW).

The above companies showcased their GNSS-related products in the booth, including GNSS chips, modules, and solutions, and expressed their intentions to cooperate with European companies on GNSS applications. The team also provided personalised support for a number of European companies (e.g. TraceWave GmbH), introducing them to selected Taiwanese and Chinese companies at the booth to explore further business opportunities.
GNSS.asia supports EU Mission for Growth
On 3-4 June, the GNSS.asia team also supported EU industry during several activities of the DG GROW Mission for Growth to Taiwan, such as the Briefing meeting and B2B matchmaking session, and networking dinner. The Mission was led by Daniel Calleja, Director-General of the European Commission's Directorate-General of Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW). It missions featured a series of high-level political and business meetings to discuss areas of mutual interest between the countries involved and the policies of DG GROW.
The intention of the mission to Taiwan was to meet with key industry leaders, policymakers and local entrepreneurs with a view towards helping European companies, particularly SMEs, to operate internationally by exploiting business opportunities in Taiwan. In the mission to Taiwan, DG Calleja was accompanied by a delegation of 60 representatives of business associations and entrepreneurs to discuss with Taiwanese entrepreneurs how to foster industrial cooperation and identify business opportunities in several GNSS-related industry sectors, including ICT and related services, electronics, green technology, environmental protection, energy and biotechnology.
