Mr. Ran Chengqi, director of China Satellite Navigation Office, released BeiDou Navigation Satellite System Signal in Space Interface Control Document-Open Service Signal B1I (Version 1.0) on the news conference held at the Briefing Hall of the State Council Information Office on December 27, 2012.

ICD is short for BeiDou Navigation Satellite System Signal In Space Interface Control Document, which specifies the relations of the signal in space interface between BeiDou Navigation Satellite System and users’ terminal receivers. It is the essential technical document to develop and make receivers and chips. The document has got Chinese and English versions, you can refer to www.beidou.gov.cn for details.

It is understood that BeiDou Navigation Satellite System Signal In Space Interface Control Document-Open Service Signal B1I (Version 1.0) mainly includes the system introduction, signal standards and navigation message, which defines the related contents of open service signal B1I between BeiDou Navigation Satellite System and users terminals.
